Ashton spends the whole day with me begging me to say something other than the things I think he wants to hear. I don’t think he knows that he is irritating me. Richard calls both of us for lunch. Great now I have to go play happy families. Ashton and I both go downstairs to the dinning room and we find the table all set and Isabelle and Richard seated.

Again Ashton starts putting food on my plate but to annoy me he puts broccoli first he knows I hate broccoli. It takes all my might not to stop him from putting more food on my plate. After what feels like eons he stops putting more food on my plate.

“See I told you it would work” Richard says to Ashton.

“It ruined everything” Ashton says to Richard with a deadly voice.

“Stop sulking would you, I did you a favour” Richard says coolly.

“There is nothing favourable about what you did!” Ashton says angrily. Ashton then drags me out of the dining room to his room upstairs.

“You why are you insisting on driving me to the brink of insanity?” he says seething. Oh he is not there yet I really thought he was insane. Instead of voicing out my thoughts I just look at him not uttering a single word.

“Alexendra say something baby please” he says holding my face in his hands.

“I don’t know what you want me to say Ashton” I say taking his hands off my face.

“Tell me what’s on your mind what are you thinking?” he says his grey eyes analysing me.

“Ok, why did you bring me here?” I ask.

“To protect you” he says shortly.

“Bullshit! What’s the real reason you brought me here Ashton?” I ask angrily.

“That is the real reason” he says shortly.

“Oh so you call torturing me protecting me? Why don’t you just do it?” I ask sobbing.

“Do what?”

“Kill me!”

“I don’t want to kill you Alex” he says pulling me close to him. I pull away from him and take the ring off my finger and give it to him.

“You lied” I say wiping the tears off my face.

“I didn’t Alex, I tried it was either that or you die my father wouldn’t let it go. I didn’t want you to get killed so I had to…let you go through the initiation, I am sorry” he says with an unreadable voice. So that was initiation, so Ashton wasn’t planning to kill me he was protecting me from his father.

“Why did you bring me here then?”

“I thought it would be safer for you I didn’t know he would do that, I wouldn’t let you get hurt not if I can help it” he says flatly and comes over and puts his hands around me.

“Prove it, let’s leave” I say shortly.

“Fine pack your bags, we are leaving” he says startling me. After a few minutes of packing we are in the car and we are leaving the Parker premises. I don’t know how to feel about this, I don’t know if he really means every word he said or if he is still playing mind games. After a good 30 minutes of driving we arrive at a private airport and we find a jet waiting for us.

After a few hours we land on another private airport and in the next 45 minutes we get to a house in the mountains. Why didn’t he take me back home?

“How many houses do you have?”

“Five” he says shortly. We enter the house and are greeted by the landscape through the glass walls of the living area. The dark kitchen cabinets,the rosewood floors and the furniture complementing the whole scenery.

“This place is beautiful Ash” I say awestruck.

“Ash?” he asks amused. I ignore him and walk into the powder room and there I find granite filling the room and ultra modern features finishing the room. This place is beautiful.

“Do you want food?” Ashton asks after some time.

“No” I say shortly.

“Ok do you want anything?” he asks.

“No” I say coldly. I feel Ashton’s hands on my waist and he gently plants kisses on my neck. I quickly take his hands off me.

“I am still angry at you. Bringing me here has not changed that” I say turning to face him.

“Are you sure about that?” he says smirking.

“Yes, the only reason I’m still here is because I don’t know where I am” I say honestly.

“Ok, so you mean our relationship has ended” he asks coming closer to me I unconsciously take a step back every time he takes one towards me.

“Yes, it’s over” I say realising that my back is against the wall and I have nowhere to go.

“Are you sure?” he asks his face close to mine.

“100% sure” I say immediately after saying that he starts kissing me. I unconsciously wrap my hands around him and he pulls me closer to him.

“Tell me you don’t want this” he says planting kisses all over me driving me to the edge.

“I don’t” I say pushing him back. He looks at me surprised.

“Ashton it’s over and I want you to accept that” I say angrily. He backs away and goes upstairs. I go to the kitchen and make some tea. I drink my tea and enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery as the sun sets.
