It has been 2 weeks ever since we arrived here and two weeks since I have been single. I haven’t been seeing Ashton since we have arrived he comes back at odd hours and leaves at odd hours. Cilia and Joanne have been the only pleasant company I have had since the guards and my body guards never talk to me. I must say though Cilia and Joanne do make this place homey.

While I am watching TV in my room Ashton comes in without knocking.

“Alex we need to talk” he says sitting on one of the couches.

“Hi, I am good thanks for asking. You have been rather scarce lately where were you?” I ask sarcastically.

“I am not in the mood I need you to tell me something” he says seriously.

“And what would that be?” I ask coolly.

“Do you love me?” he asks flatly.

“Where is this coming from?” I ask surprised at the question.

“You always ask me this.”

“Yes, yes I do…love you Ashton Parker” I say honestly.

“Then let’s give us a second chance” he says standing up and coming close to me.

“No, it won’t work out” I say looking at him. He comes down to my level and starts kissing me.

“Can I change your mind on that?” he asks smirking and kisses me. Why do all these mafia lords like to change people’s minds?

“You can’t and sex isn’t going to change that” I say pulling him closer.

“Oh, are you sure?” he says picking me up from the couch I instinctively put my legs around his waist and put my hands around his neck. He continues kissing me. Unfortunately Joanne walks in on us and I quickly let go of Ashton and he puts me down.

“I umh am sorry to interrupt I just thought I should come tell you that dinner is ready” she says turning around to leave. That was definitely awkward. Ashton and I go downstairs for dinner without saying another word.

We get to the table and I start dishing up which surprises me because Ashton did not decide to dish up for me. Joanne and Cilia did not join us for dinner today which is kind of sad because I had gotten used to having dinner with them. I feel Ashton’s hand moving from my thigh to the last button on my plaid shirt which breaks my chain of thought. He starts undoing the button and then he moves up the shirt and ends up doing the first button.

“Ashton! What if someone comes in here?” I scold and start buttoning my shirt.

“What happens when they come in? Don’t ruin my masterpiece” he says stopping me from buttoning my shirt.

“Stop me” I say going onto the next button. He comes near me and starts kissing me.

“I can do more than just stop you” he says going back to his seat. I am tired of being at the receiving end of this teasing. I am going to turn the tables I will be the one doing the teasing. I go over to where he is sitting. I straddle him and start kissing him.

“Do you care to demonstrate what you can do?” I say running my hand through his hair and kissing his neck. I proceed to take his shirt off. He picks me up and puts me down on the couch meters away from where he were sitting.

“With pleasure” he says taking my shirt and jeans off. Next moment Ashton and I are both in our underwear. I suddenly break our kiss and push him off me.

“I think I can do without the demonstration” I say taking my clothes and going upstairs half naked. He immediately follows me upstairs and when I am almost at my bedroom door he grabs me and gently pushes me to the wall.

“I think you can’t do without the demonstration I think you won’t make the right decision without one” he softly whispers in my ear and softly runs his index finger up my thigh which causes a trail of goosebumps to follow. He lifts my leg up to his waist and holds it there. I am forced to put my other leg around his waist to keep balance.

I wake up and feel the sun shining  on my face and the mountains looking gorgeous as ever. I realise that I am not in the same room as I am always in. What happened yesterday? I feel that I am lying on something hard and warm and I could hear a heartbeat. I feel Ashton playing with my hair. I quickly move up to the pillow and look at Ashton.

“Did I manage to change your mind Mrs Parker?” he asks kissing me.

“No not at all” I say unable to contain a smile.

“Mmh I see you intend on not being able to walk for a whole week” he says hovering over me and smirking.

“Not really” I say pushing him to my side and standing up with the sheets.

“I think you need this” He says standing up and putting the promise ring on my finger.

“Fine one last chance Ashton one” I say getting out of his room. He quickly grabs me by my waist, turns me around and starts kissing me.

“You have no idea how happy that makes me feel” he says taking me for another kiss.

“One wrong move, one wrong move Ashton. And it’s Ms Calathes not Mrs Parker” I say leaving the room.

“For now” he says falling on the bed.

I get to my room and collapse on the bed, I have got to hand it to Ashton last night was amazing. I don’t understand how my sister and him didn’t work out, but in a way I do get where she is coming from. Oh my goodness my sister. Her wedding is in four days I had completely forgotten I bet she is losing her mind wherever she is. I quickly shower, brush my teeth, get dressed and head to Ashton’s room. He is not here I quickly go downstairs and I find him making breakfast atleast he didn’t go MIA after last night, I honestly thought he had left. Wait, Ashton is making breakfast! I can’t believe this! I suddenly burst out in laughter who would have though that the infamous Ashton Parker would be standing behind a stove making breakfast.

“Care to share the joke?” he asks flatly.

“Umh I- I just remembered something my sister told me” I say unable to control my laughter.

“Why don’t I believe that?” he says eyeing me suspiciously.

“Beats me” I say cutting out a piece of cheese. He proceeds to give me a deadly glare which makes him even more ridiculous.

“Fine, I was laughing at you. I just didn’t expect you to cook” I say hugging him from behind.

“There’s a lot of things you don’t know about me princess” he says turning around and kissing my forehead.

“I-I need to ask you something” I say pulling him to the seats on the other side of the island.

“What do you want to ask me” he asks with a concerned look on his face.

“Can I go back to my sister, her wedding is in 4 days and she needs me” I say slowly.

“What about your safety Alex?”

“I’ll be fine. My sister needs me.”

“Fine just until the wedding is over” he says going back to make breakfast.

“After breakfast?” I ask looking at him for guidance as to where the crockery and cutlery are placed so that I can set the table.

“Fine” he says placing the food on the table.

“One last thing” I say putting some food on my plate.

“What is it now?” he sighs.

“I need a phone, I need to make an important call” I say smiling mischievously. He looks at me with an exasperated face and lends me his phone.

“Hi Xavior it’s Alexendra” I say nervously,  this better work.

“Hi Alex, how are you?” he asks excitedly.

“I am good, look I know you are not ready to meet the family but in four days something major is happening and I would love for you to be there”

“And what is this major evernt?”

“Athena, our sister is getting married in four days, so can you be please there?”

“I’ll think about it”

“I’ll save you a seat just in case you decide to come”

“Make that four seats”
