“Where is Ashton now?” he says smirking.

“Alessandro please don’t do this, please don’t kill my baby” I say heaving for air.

“You are also pregnant? Angelo this is getting interesting” he says moving towards me. I try to move away but every inch of my body hurts. Everything is bloody and I can’t seem to move my left hand. I protect my baby with my only good hand.

“Alessandro please don’t do this” I cry.

“My time is up” he says pulling me with my hair he swiftly crashes my head onto the floor I hear a ringing in my ears and everything goes black.

Ashton’s POV

I get a call from Athena which is surprising since Athena and I are not on good terms. I take the call anyways since she is the only indirect source to Alexendra whom I have been avoiding since she told me that she is pregnant with my baby. I want this baby but Alexendra Calathes does not want a child right now. To be honest I can’t stand her right now not when she wants to kill my baby.

“You can’t stay away from me huh” I say answering my phone.

“Ashton cut the crap, my sister needs you right now” she says seriously.

“What are you talking about?” I ask nonchalantly.

“Some guy came here 3 days ago and took Alex at gunpoint” she says frantically.

“You just tell me now? Seriously?” I say angrily but also concerned Alexendra is in danger.

“I didn’t know what to do the guy that took her said I must not call anyone or he will kill my entire family” she says panicking. I will kill her for not telling me this very important information sooner.

“Do you know where she is?” I ask getting out of the house.

“Yeah, I’ll send you her location” she says and immediately after she hangs up I get a message with Alexendra’s location.

I am seriously going to kill Chris for this why did he not do what I pay him for. If anything happens to Alex I don’t think I will live with myself if Alexendra…

I call a couple of my guys and I get into my car and drive as fast as I can to get to Alex. After Approximately thirty two minutes I get to what looks like a warehouse I take out my gun and run to the entrance. The warehouse is dim and the floor has traces of blood all across the floor. I go deeper into the warehouse with my gun still out. I see a body on the floor and I quickly rush to it. Alex’s body is bloodied and her jaw looks like it is dislocated. Her left arm is bent unnaturally. I get closer to her body and I see that her head is lying in a pool of blood. I delicately pick her body and rush to my car and I drive her to the hospital as fast as I can go.

I get to the hospital and she is quickly rushed into theatre. I am going to fucken kill Alessandro. I wait for hours without anybody coming to update me. After several more hours of waiting someone comes to update me.

“Are you with Alexendra?” he asks examining my shirt which is stained with blood.

“Yes, I am her boyfriend” I say impatiently.

“She has five fractured ribs,a dislocated jaw, a fractured bone in her left arm and a subdural hematoma”

“Subdural hematoma?”

“It’s the collection of blood between the covering of the brain and the surface of the brain, but we managed to stabilise her” he says slowly.

“What about the baby, is the baby still alive” I ask hanging on a thread of hope.

“Unfortunately the baby didn’t make it.”

I lost another baby to Alessandro Donati. I am going to kill him slowly and painfully and I will start by taking over his little empire and make sure he suffers miserably. I have been far too lenient. Alex’s family comes and I decide to lurk in the shadows for a while.

I have let her down. I told her that I was going to protect her but I was being ignorent when she needed me.

Alexendra’s POV

I wake up in a hospital room with a dull pain on my head and a sharp pain on my ribs. I try to move and every fibre of my being starts to hurt. I slowly clutch my stomach.” I pray that you are fine” I say to my baby.

My family comes into my room. My mom looks worried as ever and my dad looks as though the world has shattered at his feet.

“Alexendra I am so glad you are awake!” I Athena says hugging me. I immediately get a sharp pain on my ribcage.

“Ouch, thank you Athena” I say giving my sister a smile. Even though my lip is busted.

“Sorry, it was the least I could do, you saved my life” she says kissing my forehead. After several hours my family finally leaves and I fall asleep.

I wake up to Ashton analysing my every edge and curve.

“It’s about time you came to see me” I say smiling.

“I’m sorry I wasn’t there when you needed me” he says kissing my cheek.

“I forgive you, thank you for getting me. I thought long and hard about this baby and I have decided to keep it” I say smiling.

“You what?” he asks surprised. His face goes from emotionless to sadness or something like that.

“I have decided to keep this baby.”

“You decided to keep it?” he says amazed.

“Ashton why are you acting weird? Don’t tell me I lost my baby Ashton” I say starting to panic. I try to sit up but my body responds by shooting sharp pains.

“Alexendra, relax” he says trying to calm me down.

“Don’t tell me to relax Ashton just tell that my baby is fine” I say feeling tears stream down my cheeks. Ashton just keeps quite.

“Ashton say something!” I say not really knowing what I am feeling right now.

“I am sorry Alex” he says holding my hand. I pull my hand from his grip.

“So it is dead?” I ask sullenly. He slowly nods. This confirmation crumbles my word. I didn’t want this baby but when Alessandro had me it was the only thing keeping me going. I was alive to keep it alive and now my reason to live is gone. Ashton says something but I am zoned out. He stays until my family comes with all these people here I am still alone.
